   Jo Ann works in pastels on paper. Born in Hamilton, Jo Ann Sauks studied art and architecture in the ’70s and spent the three years from 1992-95 in the adult fine arts program at the Art Centre, Central Technical School, Toronto, studying drawing, painting and sculpture. Today she creates chalk pastel landscapes — true and abstracted — from Silverstone Farm, north of Massie, where she’s also involved in small scale farming that encompasses cattle, sheep and chickens.
