Mark is an author, illustrator and teacher, as well as an artist in pastel and pencil.
He also does landscapes in pastels, watercolours, gouache and oils.

   A full-time artist since he graduated from Toronto’s Central Tech art program in the late ’60s, Mark has achieved repute illustrating and writing children’s books — Owl Magazine readers enjoyed his Mighty Mite series for 16 years. Now, with Mark teaching summer art courses at Tom Thomson Memorial Gallery and the Southampton Art School, children can learn cartooning themselves. Mark’s recently-built studio next to his get-away home at Bognor will be part of this Thanksgiving’s Escarpment Studio Tour. Look for Mark’s paintings in Tobermory at Circle Arts.
